According to reports, the number of production safety accidents and deaths in the country in 2024 decreased by 11.2% and 7.7% year-on-year respectively, with the lowest death toll in history, and the number of serious and serious accidents dropped to single digits for the first time.
In terms of production safety situation, in 2024, the State Council Safety Committee Office and the Ministry of Emergency Management promoted relevant departments to issue 61 standards for determining major accident hazards, and continued to promote the dynamic zeroing of major accident hazards. The number of major hazards found by enterprises' self-inspection increased by 26.1% compared with last year, and the quality of the inspection was significantly improved. An internal reporting and reward mechanism for accident hazards in production and operation units was established, and 333,000 safety production reports were verified nationwide, an increase of 74.9% year-on-year.
