[Global Times-Global Network's special correspondent to Dingri, Tibet, Fan Weiqiong Dazhuoga] The 6.8-magnitude earthquake in Dingri County, Shigatse City, Tibet caused temples in the epicenter area to be damaged to varying degrees. Like ordinary people, monks and nuns in these temples have become objects of care and rescue in the ruthless natural disasters. A Global Times reporter recently saw during an interview in the earthquake-stricken area of Dingri County that there were also some monks and nuns in the team of people in the disaster area who helped each other. They not only actively participated in the protection of historical relics in the disaster area, but also entered the temporary resettlement points of the affected people, providing spiritual and spiritual comfort to the affected people who were in grief and anxiety.

"After the earthquake, some self-media bloggers took advantage of our busy earthquake relief and disaster relief and secretly ran to a 'Juemu Temple in our Changsu Township ’——Zongbu Monastery was filmed and also posted videos on the Internet, saying that Zongbu Monastery was damaged after the earthquake but no one managed it. The nuns who practiced in the temple were injured and no one helped. This is purely a rumor, and I feel very angry. "Awang Ciren, deputy director of the Management Committee of Sengaqude Monastery, Dingri County Chansuo Township, told the Global Times reporter that after the earthquake on January 7, he immediately asked the Dingri County Government for help and rushed to Zongbu Monastery with local people to carry out rescue work. After firefighters, the People's Liberation Army and other emergency rescue forces arrived in Changsuo Township, Zongbu Temple was also used as a rescue point and carried out rescue work simultaneously with other disaster-stricken areas in Changsuo Township. "The nun who was injured in the earthquake was also sent to the hospital by 120 at the first time, while the nun who was not physically ill were uniformly arranged to be taken care of in the temple management committee, and everyone was properly placed." Awang Tsering said.
