CCTV News (News Network): The latest value-added tax invoice data released by the State Administration of Taxation shows that with the implementation of a package of incremental policies, the sales revenue of enterprises across the country improved significantly in the fourth quarter of 2024, and the economic operation showed many highlights.
VAT invoice data shows that in the fourth quarter of 2024, my country's manufacturing industry accelerated, with sales revenue increasing by 3.8% year-on-year, an increase of 2.4 percentage points from the third quarter. Among them, the sales revenue of the equipment manufacturing industry increased by 8.3% year-on-year, especially the sales revenue of the manufacturing industry such as railways, ships, aerospace equipment, etc., reached 16.5%.
At the same time, emerging industries are accelerating their development. Sales revenue of high-tech industries increased by 10.6% year-on-year, among which sales revenue of high-tech services and high-tech manufacturing industries both maintained double-digit growth.
In addition, national infrastructure investment rebounded. In the fourth quarter of 2024, the growth rate of sales revenue of civil engineering construction industry increased significantly compared with the third quarter. Especially with the implementation of a package of debt policies, sales revenue in December increased by 7% year-on-year, effectively promoting the construction of key infrastructure projects such as "two levels". Among them, the sales revenue of the construction industry of water conservancy and water transportation engineering increased by 17.7% year-on-year, an increase of 7.6 percentage points from the third quarter; the sales revenue of machinery manufacturing for construction projects increased by 6.3% year-on-year, reflecting the accelerated investment in construction.
In terms of the construction of a unified national market, the national inter-provincial trade sales reflecting trade exchanges in various places increased by 3.3% year-on-year, further increasing from the third quarter.
