Hu Qiangqiang, spokesperson of the National Health Commission, introduced that the recent monitoring of acute respiratory infectious diseases sentinels released by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention shows that the influenza virus posits in the first week of 2025 is in a seasonal epidemic period, and the positive rate of influenza viruses has slowed down. Among them, the positive rate of influenza viruses in outpatient and emergency influenza-like cases nationwide has increased by 3.8% compared with last week, lower than the same period last year. It is expected that the level of influenza activity may gradually decline in the middle and late months, and the level of influenza activity varies between different provinces.
In order to better meet the medical needs of the people, the National Health Commission guides all localities to coordinate medical resources, expand the supply of medical services, optimize service processes, and work with relevant departments to ensure drug reserves and supply guarantees. There is no obvious shortage of medical resources at present, and the production, supply and inventory of relevant key drugs are generally normal.
