"Shanghai Brain and Computer Interface Future Industry Cultivation Action Plan (2025-2030)", with medical-grade scenarios as the core and strategic products as the orientation, focusing on promoting the implementation and application of invasive semi-invasive brain-computer interface technology products. Up to now, more than 20 brain-computer interface companies have been launched in Shanghai, and one of the semi-invasive brain-computer interface products has entered clinical trials. In 2025, an invasive and a semi-invasive product will also enter clinical trials. Driven by a series of technologies, the goal of using thoughts to achieve action control, speaking, etc. will be gradually achieved.

In the next five years, Shanghai will promote the construction of a common technology research and development service platform, including the construction of micro-nano processing platforms, animal experimental platforms, and layout of key laboratories. At the same time, the "Beijing Brain and Computer Interface Innovation and Development Action Plan" plans to break through key technologies by 2027. By 2030, the brain-computer interface ecosystem will be initially formed, and 3-5 leading enterprises with global influence and about 100 innovative small and medium-sized enterprises will be cultivated, and 1 to 2 brain-computer interface industry development cluster demonstration zones will be created.
