The new spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Guo Jiakun officially presided over the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today (January 6) and became the 35th spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs established a press spokesperson system in 1983 and was one of the earliest Chinese government ministries to establish a fixed press release mechanism.
