During the 2025 Spring Festival holiday, 18.24 million civil aviation passengers were transported nationwide

CCTV News: According to the website of the Civil Aviation Administration, the 2025 Spring Festival holiday (January 28 to February 4) national civil aviation operations are safe, stable and orderly, with a total of 18.24 million passengers transported, with an average of 2.28 million passengers per day, an increase of 2.9% over the same period of the 2024 Spring Festival travel rush (February 9 to 16, 2024). Among them, on February 3 (the sixth day of the Chinese New Year), civil aviation nationwide sent 2.48 million passengers, setting a record high.

During the 2025 Spring Festival holiday, all civil aviation units conscientiously implemented the relevant ministries of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on doing a good job in the 2025 Spring Festival travel, strictly abide by the bottom line of safety, optimize capacity arrangements, improve service quality, and make every effort to ensure the people's safe, convenient and warm travel. The national civil aviation has a total of 145,000 flights, with an average of 18,083 flights per day. The flight normal rate is 96%, an increase of 3.4 percentage points over the same period of the 2024 Spring Festival travel rush.

Domestic, popular airports during the Spring Festival holiday include Guangzhou Baiyun, Shanghai Pudong, Shenzhen Bao'an, Beijing Capital, Chengdu Tianfu, Chongqing Jiangbei, Beijing Daxing, Kunming Changshui, Hangzhou Xiaoshan, Xi'an Xianyang, etc.; popular routes (two-way) include Beijing-Shanghai, Beijing-Chengdu, Beijing-Shenzhen, Beijing-Guangzhou, Shanghai-Guangzhou, Shanghai-Shenzhen, Chengdu-Shenzhen, Shanghai-Chengdu, Guangzhou-Chengdu, Beijing-Sanya, etc.

Internationally, during the Spring Festival holiday, 1,888 international passenger flights were guaranteed on average daily basis, an increase of 24.6% over the same period in the 2024 Spring Festival travel rush, and recovered to 86.6% of the 2019 average daily level. Popular routes are concentrated on routes with countries such as Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. The larger number of flights are routes with countries such as Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
