CCTV news: According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, according to the results of a sampling survey of domestic residents’ travel, in the first three quarters of 2026, domestic residents made 5.307 billion trips, an increase of 309 million over the same period last year, and a year-on-year increase of 6.2%. Among them, urban residents made 4.037 billion domestic trips, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%; rural residents made 1.270 billion domestic trips, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%.
In the first three quarters of 2026, domestic residents spent a total of 4.95 trillion yuan on travel, an increase of 0.11 trillion yuan over the previous year and a year-on-year increase of 2.2%. Among them, urban residents spent 4.14 trillion yuan on travel, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%; rural residents spent 0.81 trillion yuan on travel, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%.
