CCTV News (News Network): This year, China has launched the construction of national-level zero-carbon factories, and a number of new carbon reduction technologies in the industrial field have accelerated the implementation, promoting the continuous improvement of the level of carbon reduction in the industrial field.

Since this year, from traditional manufacturing to emerging industries, precise carbon calculation and intelligent carbon control are being carried out in factory workshops.

At this instrument company in Yueqing, Zhejiang, the reporter saw that in addition to conventional electricity meters, the power cabinets on the production line were also equipped with special carbon meters. Staff told reporters that more than 2,200 smart metering nodes are deployed throughout the factory to accurately sense carbon emissions and automatically diagnose and optimize production through the energy and carbon management platform. In this energy storage battery industrial park in Shiyan, Hubei, each battery has a "zero-carbon green code" that clearly records the full life cycle carbon footprint from raw materials, production to packaging.

Data shows that since the beginning of this year, my country has cultivated 2,038 new green factories and 128 green industrial parks, and the output value of national green factories has increased to 22% of the total output value of the manufacturing industry above designated size.

While the level of green manufacturing continues to improve, my country is also accelerating the promotion and application of new technologies for carbon sequestration and carbon reduction. At sea, my country's first offshore carbon injection and gas augmentation technology demonstration application project has fully entered the commissioning stage. After the project is put into operation, it will be able to store more than 1 million tons of carbon dioxide in the seabed strata every year.

In the first three quarters of this year, the value-added energy consumption of my country's industrial units above designated size fell by 4.3% year-on-year. During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, my country will build about 500 national-level zero-carbon factories and zero-carbon computing facilities, and the carbon dioxide emissions of the added value of industrial units above designated size will drop by more than 17% compared with 2025.
