2025-04-23 source:CCTV.com

CCTV News (News Network): On January 2, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment released the latest data showing that in 2024, the annual average concentration of PM2.5 in Beijing was 30.5 micrograms/cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 6.2%. The air quality has been steadily meeting the standards for four consecutive years, with excellent days reaching 290 days, accounting for nearly 80%, setting a new record. The transparent air makes the beautiful scenery of Beijing's starry sky, morning glow and other beautiful scenery become rich materials for citizens to take photos. The videos of the Chinese Space Station and the Forbidden City are widely circulated. "Yinding Viewing Mountain", one of the "Eight Small Scenes of Yanjing", also become a daily landscape.

In recent years, Beijing has continued to carry out clean energy transformation, vehicle structure optimization, etc., and used foundation pit air membranes to solve construction dust and other means to accurately control air pollution, so that the average monthly and annual concentration of PM2.5 will continue to decrease, and the air quality will be greatly improved.
