It is understood that Beijing will take the protection of Beijing's central axis as a starting point to continue to drive the overall protection of Beijing's old city and promote the creation of the Beijing Central axis national cultural relics protection and utilization demonstration zone. At the same time, Beijing will abide by the Convention on the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage, give full play to Beijing's unique advantages in having many world cultural heritages, and help build the functions of Beijing's International Exchange Center; use Beijing's central axis as an important resource for China's international exchanges, and create a special foreign affairs venue.
Zhang Lixin, director of the Beijing Municipal Cultural Relics Bureau, said that in order to strengthen the interpretation and dissemination of the central axis of Beijing, the Beijing Municipal Cultural Relics Bureau and other departments have proposed several measures after investigation.
