At present, the "rapeseed-rice" crop rotation model has been widely promoted in the southern regions. Anren County, Hunan Province is located in a hilly area with fragmented plots. By adapting early-mature rapeseed varieties with machine-harvested technology, the utilization rate of winter idle fields has increased to more than 90%.

Long Jun, a large grain grower in Anren County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, introduced that after the rapeseed is harvested, early rice was planted manually, and now the machine can plant 30 mu a day, which has increased by nearly 30 times. Rape straw is returned to the field to replace fertilizers, and the per mu of early rice is expected to increase by 2%.

The agricultural situation dispatch of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs shows that the climate conditions in the main winter rapeseed production areas in my country are generally favorable in the winter of 2024 and spring 2025.
