Xinhua News Agency, Hong Kong (Reporter Xiao Yichen) The Chinese People's Liberation Army Garrison in Hong Kong conducted an emergency drill on the 11th, dispatching part of the land, sea and air forces to organize joint patrols, focusing on training the troops' combat capabilities in emergency response, rapid planning, emergency dispatch, joint operations, and special situation handling.
This joint patrol covers multiple arms such as land-based high-mobility infantry, maritime main battleships, and air helicopters. It is organized and implemented in a coherent manner according to actual combat requirements. It highlights the rapid deployment and planning of command posts, sea and air and land and air security patrols, joint anti-terrorism and other actual combat contents. It consolidates and enhances the garrison's ability to handle emergencies and perform diversified military tasks in high-intensity joint operations and confrontation exercises.
During the joint patrol, the garrison strictly abided by Hong Kong's laws and regulations on roads, waterways and aviation management, and notified relevant departments of the Hong Kong SAR government in advance.
