China News Service, Beijing, June 10 (Reporter Zhang Ni) On the 10th, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers released data on the production and sales of the automobile industry in May. Data show that from January to May this year, 1.833 million new energy vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 1.1 times.
According to the data released this time, in May, China's automobile production and sales completed 2.616 million units and 2.629 million units respectively, a month-on-month increase of 1.6% and 4.1% respectively, and a year-on-year decrease of 1.2% and 2.1% respectively.
From January to May, automobile production and sales completed 12.235 million units and 12.207 million units respectively, a year-on-year decrease of 4.6% and 4.2% respectively. The decline was further narrowed compared with the previous four months.
In terms of exports, in May, automobile exports were 930,000 units, a month-on-month increase of 3.1% and a year-on-year increase of 68.7%. It has remained above 900,000 units for two consecutive months. From January to May, 4.059 million vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 63%.
New energy vehicle export data remains a bright spot. In May, the export of new energy vehicles was 446,000 units, a month-on-month increase of 3.8%, and a year-on-year increase of 1.1 times; the export of traditional fuel vehicles was 483,000 units, a month-on-month increase of 2.5%, and a year-on-year increase of 42.6%.
From January to May, the export of new energy vehicles was 1.833 million units, a year-on-year increase of 1.1 times; the export of traditional fuel vehicles was 2.227 million units, a year-on-year increase of 36.2%.
