CCTV News: The two crews of Shenzhou 20 and Shenzhou 19 completed the in-orbit transit in the space station sky and core module, which is the sixth time that the "Shenzhou Family" has delivered the "baton" in space.
On the afternoon of the 27th, Chen Dong, the commander of Shenzhou No. 20, took the key to the space station from the commander of Shenzhou No. 19, Cai Xuzhe, and completed the 6th in-orbit transit rotation of China's space station. Coincidentally, the key to the space station was originally passed by Chen Dong.
Shenzhou 14 astronaut Chen Dong said: "We are about to complete the Shenzhou 14 mission. Now I will hand over the key of the space station to you. I wish you a successful completion of the follow-up mission."
Salzhang 15 astronaut Fei Junlong said: "Thank you, on behalf of Shenzhou 15, I thank you for laying a good foundation for us in the early stage. We will surely complete the Shenzhou 15 flight mission successfully."
On the evening of December 2, 2022, Chen Dong, an astronaut who was the commander of Shenzhou No. 14, solemnly handed over the key of the space station to Fei Junlong, the commander of Shenzhou No. 15. This is the first time that the Chinese space station has completed the manned transfer rotation of two crews, marking the official opening of the era of long-term human residence in China.
For the first time in orbit, the first and second batches of astronauts were the main force in the space station stage at that time; when the second and third in orbital handover in 2023, three batches of astronauts were "three generations together"; when the fourth in orbital handover in 2024, the second and third batches of astronauts have become the main force in the application and development stage of space stations. Half a year later, for the fifth in orbit, two third batch of "post-90s" astronauts also joined the space relay race.
During orbital transit, the space station key was compared to the "baton", which not only emphasized the continuity of China's space station mission and the importance of teamwork, but also the most intuitive understanding and expression of "Shenzhou Family Space Relay".
