The three major airlines issued notices on ticket processing for Japan routes: Tickets can be refunded and changed for free

CCTV News: On November 15, China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd. issued the "Notice on the Special Handling of Passenger Tickets on Japan Routes", Air China Co., Ltd. issued the "Notice on the Special Handling Plan for Air China's Passenger Tickets on Japan Routes", and China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd. issued the "Notice on the Special Treatment of Passenger Tickets on Japan-Related Routes".

China Eastern Airlines stated that in order to help passengers whose itineraries involve Japanese routes better arrange their travels, China Eastern Airlines is now releasing a special disposal plan for tickets for inbound and outbound flights involving Japan routes. All tickets contain at least one unused segment involving Japan (including but not limited to Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Sapporo, Komatsu, Kagoshima, Nagasaki, Niigata) , Okayama, Fukuoka, Shizuoka, Nagoya, Matsuyama, Okinawa, Toyama, Kumamoto) inbound, outbound or stopover flights (including flights of China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines or other airlines), if the flight departure date is between November 15, 2025 and December 31, 2025, it can be changed once for free, and the refund fee will be waived for refunds.

The cancellation and change policies for Japan routes of China Southern Airlines and Air China are also similar to China Eastern Airlines. The departure time for tickets that can be refunded and changed for free is from November 15th to December 31st.
