As of December 4, the "Tai Po Wang Fook Court Assistance Fund" has received a total of HK$2.8 billion in donations from all walks of life. Hong Kong Social Welfare Department: More than 1,700 disaster-stricken households have registered for the "one social worker per household" service
To Wing Wing, Director of the Social Welfare Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government, said in an interview on the evening of the 4th that the "one social worker per household" service mechanism launched by the SAR government for residents affected by the Tai Po fire has been fully launched. As of December 4, the Welfare Department has received more than 1,700 residents who have registered to become the service recipients of the "one social worker per household" service. At that time, one social worker will be responsible for one affected household, and another 2 to 3 civil servants will form a small team to help the affected residents, providing emotional support, psychological counseling, temporary care services for the elderly and disabled, and assistance in applying for various assistance benefits.
