Xinhua News Agency, Chongqing, December 15 (Reporters Zhu Chao and Liu Enli) Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, met with Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong in Chongqing on the 15th and co-chaired the 20th session of the China-Singapore Joint Committee on Bilateral Cooperation First meeting, the 26th meeting of the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Joint Coordinating Council, the 17th meeting of the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Joint Coordinating Council and the ninth meeting of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Connectivity Demonstration Project Joint Coordinating Council.

During the meeting, Ding Xuexiang said that the long-term and stable development of China-New Zealand relations benefited from the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries and adhering to the correct political direction. Both sides should continue to enhance mutual trust, respect each other's core interests, and ensure that China-New Zealand friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation are stable and long-term.

Gan Kim Yong said that New Zealand attaches great importance to developing relations with China, firmly adheres to the one-China policy, opposes "Taiwan independence", and is willing to intensify exchanges with China at all levels to promote greater development of bilateral relations.

Ding Xuexiang and Yan Jinyong co-chaired four bilateral cooperation mechanism meetings. The two sides comprehensively reviewed and summarized the progress of China-Singapore practical cooperation, exchanged in-depth views on high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and sustainable development, innovation, finance, public health and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and national-level bilateral cooperation projects, and clarified the direction and focus of cooperation in the next stage. Both sides agreed to deepen the alignment of development plans and explore more points of convergence of interests and growth points for cooperation; make full use of policy resources to promote the quality and upgrading of major projects; cultivate and expand new productive forces and accelerate the formation of landmark results; work together to safeguard the multilateral trading system to better promote the development of the two countries and the prosperity and stability of the region.

After the meeting, Ding Xuexiang and Yan Jinyong jointly witnessed the display of China-Singapore cooperation results, attended the launching ceremony of the China-Singapore multimodal transport demonstration project Chongqing-Central Asia and Chongqing-Southeast Asia international trains, and visited the China-Singapore Interconnection Project Comprehensive Exhibition Hall and the Chongqing Digital City Operation and Governance Center.
