Ministry of Commerce: Strongly opposed to the European Commission’s intensive investigations into many Chinese companies
2025-12-18 source:Xinhua News Agency

Ministry of Commerce Spokesperson He Yadong said at a regular press conference on December 18 that China has noticed that the European Commission has recently launched intensive investigations into the Foreign Subsidy Regulations (FSR) against Chinese companies. It has successively launched in-depth investigations into CRRC Group and Nuctech, and even conducted on-site surprise inspections of Chinese digital platforms. The practices are bad, directional and discriminatory. China strongly opposes this. It is hoped that the European side will immediately stop its unreasonable suppression of foreign-invested companies, including those from China, and use FSR investigation tools prudently to create a fair, just and predictable business environment for companies investing and operating in Europe. China pays close attention to the relevant trends of the European side and will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.
