On February 18, 2026, the Hainan Free Trade Port has been closed for two months. The latest data from Haikou Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station shows that customs closure operations are overall stable and orderly, and entry-exit management is efficient and smooth.

Driven by the policy of "liberalizing the 'first line', controlling the 'second line', and freeing the island", international tourists have increased significantly. As of 9:00 on February 18, there were 143,000 foreign tourists entering Hainan without visas, a year-on-year increase of 62.2%. Visa-free tourists accounted for 94.4% of the foreign tourists entering Hainan. Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, etc. were the main source countries.

It is understood that Hainan Since the customs closure of the South Free Trade Port, the Haikou Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station has inspected and released more than 616,000 entry-exit personnel, a year-on-year increase of 34.2%; it has inspected and released 4,960 transportation vehicles (vessels), a year-on-year increase of 28%.
