News from CCTV: Recently, the Chinese Consulate General in Auckland learned that a Chinese citizen was beaten by multiple unidentified men while conducting a live broadcast on the streets of downtown Auckland. He suffered multiple injuries to his body and had his personal belongings taken away.

The Consulate General is paying close attention to this case and has immediately expressed its serious concerns to the Auckland police, demanding that it be investigated and dealt with as soon as possible in accordance with the law, fairly and seriously, and to effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens. The police said they are fully investigating.
