Wang Yi said that establishing and building a research center for a community with a shared future for mankind is an important political task assigned by the Party Central Committee to the diplomatic front. The Center must always keep in mind its glorious mission, study and publicize the major original concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping, serve the Party’s innovative theoretical research, interpretation, publicity and popularization, and solidly promote this theoretical construction project with distinct political attributes. Always maintain a high degree of political consciousness, defend the "two establishments", achieve the "two maintenances", and keep the political direction correct so that theoretical research has a foundation, a soul, and a motivation. We must deeply grasp the strategic leading role of this major idea in a century of changes, the important guiding significance of this major idea as a scientific system, the Marxist stance, viewpoints and methods used in this major idea, and the profound connotation of this major idea that connects ancient and modern times and integrates China and foreign countries, so as to strengthen historical confidence, draw strength for progress, adhere to the fundamental source, and construct the Chinese narrative.
Wang Yi emphasized that this year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the first year of the “15th Five-Year Plan”. We must unite more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, further study and practice Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, bravely climb the theoretical peak, forge ahead with determination, and make greater contributions to major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era!
