At the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping, Chinese Kuomintang Chairman Zheng Liwen led a Kuomintang delegation to Nanjing via Shanghai on the 7th to begin their visit to the mainland.

After arriving in Nanjing, Zheng Liwen expressed her gratitude to General Secretary Xi Jinping and the mainland for their warm reception. This visit is to safeguard peace across the Taiwan Strait and enhance people's well-being, which is of great significance. The Chinese Kuomintang will adhere to the "1992 Consensus", oppose "Taiwan independence", and continue to play an important role in promoting the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations.

Song Tao, director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, went to Shanghai to greet Zheng Liwen and his party. Song Tao expressed that he welcomed Chairman Zheng’s delegation to visit. I believe that Chairman Zheng will personally experience the tremendous development achievements of the motherland under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Communist Party of China. He will fully feel the deep friendship of the mainland compatriots towards the Taiwan compatriots and will receive high recognition and support from compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The two parties must put national interests first and the well-being of compatriots in mind, work together to promote the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations, and jointly create the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
