As part of the initiative of “inviting 50,000 American teenagers to come to China for exchange and study in five years”, the “Intellectual Culture & Middot; Youth Together” Sino-US youth exchange event was held in Beijing on April 8.
The event was jointly organized by the US-China Youth Student Exchange Association, the China Science and Technology Development Foundation, and the Cultural Development Promotion Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. With the theme of "AI + Culture", it built a new platform for friendly exchanges between Chinese and American teenagers.

Nearly a hundred American youth representatives, including high school students from Lincoln Middle School in the United States, paired up with Chinese students to participate in the "AI + Culture" roundtable and listened to Chinese scholars talk about how artificial intelligence can empower cultural inheritance. At the event site, the organizers also signed a cooperation agreement. In the future, they will work together to create high-quality international youth exchange projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, ecological environmental protection, science popularization, and cultural communication, and continue to write a new chapter in Sino-US friendly people-to-people exchanges.

President of the US-China Youth Student Exchange Association Zhuang Hanjie: In the beginning, I went to schools for exchanges and then went to see famous places in China. Later, I became more and more professional. We look forward to promoting nearly a thousand (American) teenagers and young scientists to come to China for exchanges every year, and regular two-way (youth) exchange visits, because China has good scenarios for training AI, so that these technologies can be implemented and used by the people. The United States is very cutting-edge in its research on AI, but its implementation and use is lagging behind ours (China). Therefore, we hope to strengthen cooperation with relevant Chinese departments in this field in the future. This year's APEC meeting will be held in China, and we will work together to launch two to three supporting activities in Beijing and Shenzhen.

The "Technology and Culture Communication Public Welfare Project" was also released at the event, focusing on supporting a series of artificial intelligence and cultural inheritance-related projects for future exchanges between Chinese and American youths.
