Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The current situation in China-Japan relations is rooted in Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s Taiwan-related fallacies

On April 10, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning hosted a regular press conference. A reporter asked a question about China-Japan relations.

Mao Ning said that the root cause of the current situation in Sino-Japanese relations lies in Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's fallacies related to Taiwan, which betrayed trust and damaged the political foundation of Sino-Japanese relations and challenged the post-war international order.

Japan should abide by the four political documents between China and Japan and the commitments it has made, reflect on and correct mistakes, and take practical actions to safeguard the political foundation of China-Japan relations.
