CCTV News: According to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, as of the evening of April 9, 2026, all the detectors carrying out the Chang'e-7 mission have been safely transported to the Wenchang Space Launch Site in China through air and land transport. Subsequent test preparations before launch will be carried out as planned.

The goal of the Chang'e-7 mission is to break through key technologies such as high-precision lunar surface soft landing, legged walking, lunar surface leap and lunar surface permanent shadow crater detection, and use comprehensive detection methods such as orbiting, landing, patrolling, and leaping to conduct environmental and resource exploration of the lunar South Pole, and to carry out international cooperation. At present, the facilities and equipment at the launch site are in good condition, and all preparations are being carried out in an orderly manner as planned. Chang'e-7 is scheduled to be launched in the second half of this year.

According to reports, in order to give full play to the advantages of the new national system, utilize the technical capabilities and practical experience accumulated over decades in the manned space project and the Chang'e Project, and improve the comprehensive benefits of China's lunar exploration, our country will deeply integrate existing resources and forces in the fields of manned lunar landing and unmanned lunar exploration.
