The reporter learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the 14th that my country will strengthen safety supervision of road testing and demonstration applications of intelligent connected vehicles.

It is understood that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other three departments will carry out self-examination and rectification work, and carry out road testing and demonstration applications of intelligent connected vehicles in a steady and orderly manner. All localities must carry out comprehensive self-examination and assessment based on recent safety incidents to find and analyze the main existing problems. At the same time, they must improve relevant management policies, strengthen safety supervision throughout the process, improve emergency response capabilities, and ensure that test demonstration activities are carried out safely and orderly.

The reporter also learned that relevant departments will continue to improve the management system related to autonomous driving, establish a three-level technology maturity and safety evaluation mechanism at the national, local, and enterprise levels, further strengthen the construction of emergency support capabilities, and promote the high-quality development of the intelligent connected automobile industry with high-level safety.
