On April 20, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun hosted a regular press conference. A reporter asked a question about the current situation in the Middle East.

Guo Jiakun said that since the peace window has been opened, favorable conditions should be created to end the war as soon as possible. China supports relevant parties in continuing to maintain the momentum of ceasefire and negotiation, and will continue to promote the easing of the situation in the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s four-point proposition and play a constructive role in ultimately achieving lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.
