CCTV News (News Broadcast): The latest data released by the National Energy Administration shows that since the beginning of this year, my country's energy production has grown steadily, the green and low-carbon energy transformation has been advanced in depth, and the energy security and resilience have continued to increase.
The latest data shows that as of the end of March, the country’s cumulative installed power generation capacity was 3.96 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 15.5%. With a capacity of nearly 4 billion kilowatts, it ranks first in the world, and its installed capacity accounts for nearly 30% of the world's total installed capacity.

In addition to the growth in total installed capacity, the energy supply structure is also undergoing positive changes. In the first quarter, clean energy power generation from industrial hydropower, nuclear power, wind power, and solar power above designated size was 0.7 trillion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 2.8%, accounting for 33.2% of industrial power generation above designated size. As of the end of March, my country's installed wind power and solar power capacity reached 1.9 billion kilowatts.
At the same time, the energy consumption structure is also continuing to be optimized. Data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that according to preliminary estimates, total energy consumption in the first quarter increased by 3.9% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 0.4 percentage points faster than the previous year; the proportion of non-fossil energy in total energy consumption continued to increase, 0.4 percentage points higher than the same period last year; clean power production and green energy consumption achieved simultaneous growth, driving the steady improvement of electrification levels.
