When Minister Dong Jun attended the meeting of defense ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states and delivered a speech at the conference, he emphasized that the global development initiative, global security initiative, global civilization initiative, and global governance initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping have injected valuable stability and certainty into a turbulent world. As a model of practicing multilateralism, the SCO should firmly safeguard the international order, jointly defend fairness and justice, work together to promote the improvement of security governance, eliminate the soil of instability and conflict through common development, and contribute to the realization of "sustainable peace, development and prosperity" advocated by this meeting.
