China News Service, Shanghai, May 2 (Reporter Chen Jing) The Hongqiao Immigration Inspection Station of the Shanghai Immigration Inspection Station (hereinafter referred to as the Hongqiao Immigration Inspection Station) disclosed on the 2nd that from January to April this year, the total number of inbound and outbound business jet flights at the Hongqiao International Airport port was approximately 680, a year-on-year increase of 20%, ranking first in the country.

It is reported that multiple development dividends continue to be released, promoting the steady growth of the number of business jets in Shanghai. The Shanghai Culture, Tourism, Business and Sports Exhibition is deeply integrated, and various international exhibitions, high-end events and business activities are intensively implemented, which has generated a large number of high-quality and highly flexible business travel needs. As the integration of the Yangtze River Delta continues to deepen, regional economic and trade cooperation and personnel exchanges have become more frequent, and the demand for cross-regional business commuting with Shanghai as the core has continued to rise, further broadening the application scenarios of business aviation. Relying on the optimization and upgrade of the visa-free and 240-hour transit visa-free policies, the entry passage of foreign business people will be more convenient and efficient. The above three conditions are mutually reinforcing and jointly drive the continued expansion of the scale of Shanghai's business jet operations.

According to statistics from the Hongqiao Immigration Inspection Station, in the first four months of this year, the number of passengers entering and exiting Hongqiao International Airport by business aircraft exceeded 5,300, of which nearly 70% were foreigners, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwanese attending conferences, exhibitions and other business activities. Relying on the convenient transportation advantages of the Hongqiao hub, some personnel transited through Hongqiao International Airport and went to Yiwu, Zhejiang, Suzhou, Jiangsu and other Yangtze River Delta cities for business inspections and business negotiations.

“In the first quarter of this year, the number of inbound and outbound business jet flights at Hongqiao Port was nearly 500, a year-on-year increase of 18.2%. Among them, the performance in March was particularly outstanding, with the number of inbound and outbound business jet flights reaching 213, a year-on-year increase of over 36%. The number of flights at Hongqiao Port has reached a record high in a single month, and the growth rate ranks first among mainland cities." Jin Qian, instructor of the fourth team on duty at Hongqiao Border Inspection Station, said that after entering April, the number of business jet flights continued to operate at a high level, with more than 180 inbound and outbound business jet flights that month.

In order to do its best to ensure the customs clearance of intensive flights, the Hongqiao Border Inspection Station accurately determines the peak passenger flow, dynamically optimizes the police deployment, strengthens the security of business aircraft police, and comprehensively improves flight operation efficiency. At the same time, the station has set up a "smart express lane" for business aircraft inspection points, and qualified passengers can clear customs without any sense by "swiping their faces". The station has also set up a "Feihong" special service team to provide front-line services, providing passengers with customs clearance guidance and heart-warming help in English, French, German and other languages.
