The reporter learned from the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. that on May 4, the country's railways carried 20.383 million passengers. Since the May Day holiday transportation started on April 29, the country's railways have carried a total of 117 million passengers. The transportation is safe, stable and orderly.
On May 5, the return passenger flow of railways continued to rise. Railways across the country are expected to carry 23 million passengers, and plan to operate 2,225 additional passenger trains.
