CCTV news: According to the WeChat public account of "The Embassy is Home", the spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in Israel responded to reporters' questions on the relevant Israeli congressmen's visit to Taiwan.
Reporter: Recently, Israeli Future Party MP Topolowski visited Taiwan again. Do you have any comment on this?
Embassy Spokesperson: Topolowski, a member of the Israeli Future Party, together with several congressmen, visited Taiwan again and made erroneous remarks related to Taiwan, which seriously violated the one-China principle and seriously undermined the political foundation of China-Israel relations. The Chinese Embassy in Israel strongly condemns this.
There is only one China in the world, Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory, and the government of the People’s Republic of China is the only legal government representing the whole of China. The one-China principle is the general consensus of the international community and the basic norm of international relations. The biggest threat to peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait is the "Taiwan independence" separatist activities of the Taiwan authorities. China will never allow anyone to split Taiwan from China in any way, and will never allow any external force to obstruct China's realization of complete reunification.
The communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Israel clearly stated that "the government of the State of Israel recognizes that the government of the People's Republic of China is the only legal government representing the whole of China, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of the territory of the People's Republic of China." The relevant congressman has repeatedly openly violated the Israeli government's position of adhering to the one-China policy, colluded with the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces, and instigated cross-strait confrontation. Their behavior is despicable. We advise the relevant members to immediately stop their wrong words and deeds, not to underestimate the strong determination of the Chinese government and the Chinese people to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and not to try to step over the line on the Taiwan issue without paying the price.
